Wanna Go Alberta Bear Hunting This Spring?
Have You Experienced an Exciting Alberta Bear Hunt Yet?
When it comes to hunting Alberta is famous for two things: trophy bears and huge white tails!
|
Not only does Alberta produce lots of big bruins, you also have a chance to harvest color-phased black bears. (ie blonde, cinnamon, or brown) With skulls that will generate eye popping green scores. Making Alberta one black bear hunting hot spot.
And we're talking excellent bear country. Acres of natural feeding areas that are perfect for producing trophy sized black bears.
|
Under these conditions of abundance the usual hunting method is spot and stalk. Accompanied by an experienced guide. Although you should also be able to get in some stand hunting too.
In Alberta you're allowed to harvest two bears with one license. In that case, most hunters aren't exactly choosy with their first.
With that bear-lust out of their system the smart hunter will become the ultra-patient hunter. Who will be rather selective and use the second tag to try to take home an amazing animal. Shooting for one that squares at 7 foot or better.
Spring bear hunting season in Alberta runs from mid May to Mid June. You never know what the weather will be like. The temperatures could be near freezing one day and then get into the 60's in the same week.
Given the latitude, even in May the days are long. It's not unusual to get in 11 hours of hunting. Making for a day filled with fun and exciting bear sightings and shooting opportunities.
You want to find a hunt that includes everything. Lodging, experienced guides, tasty camp meals, license and tags plus the choice of many baited stands. This will all but insure the success of your Alberta bear hunting adventure.
