"For the most part Canada whitetail deer hunting begins and ends in Alberta in my opinion anyway," Hathaway confessed. "The eastern border with Saskatchewan in particular. Mild winters have set the stage for big bucks there. Add in a robust gene pool and and favorable terrain in which to develop and what's not to like?"
"Yet," he continued, "you can't discuss whitetail deer hunting in Canada without looking at another providence. There's lots of talk about trophy deer hunts in Sakatchewan. Seems the odds of a taking a trophy buck there are best towards the North.
"If you don't want to travel West, Ontario, which is in my back yard," he pointed out, "offers good prospects. Especially in the southern farm belt. Again recent mild winters should translate into excellent trophy buck opportunites.
Those are three ways to get in on Canada whitetail deer hunting. With better than decent prospects for trophy deer hunts in Sakatchewan. Or perhaps the next providence over in Alberta.
