It wouldn't have taken much to convince Michael it didn't get much better than this. Walking a bushy fence row beside a pine stand, quail hunting. Georgia. A brisk November morning. In his family this was a time honored tradition.|

From his recent forays he was convinced he was going to get the daily limit. Quail hunting in Georgia runs from November into February. Giving Michael plenty of time to generate memorable experiences. Yet if hunting public lands doesn't produce the results you seek there are many quality quail hunting plantations in Georgia. Aside from the birds, such plantations will spoil you if you let them. What with their guides, dogs, first rate food and lodging. What you might call a first-class hunting vacation. |
Some feel plantations provide the ultimate bobwhite hunting experience.
Then too quail rank only behind doves in the numbers taken each year. I guess thousands of hunters can't resist what many consider to be the ultimate wing shot challenge.
Of course few things match the thrill of trailing a couple of dogs backing one another on point!
Even better the restocking practices of quail hunting plantations in Georgia insure most every hunter gets to enjoy seeing dogs at work… flushing multiple coveys of quail… every time out.
That's what I call quail hunting Georgia style.
