Hunting Exotic Deer In Texas Year RoundExotic Red Deer Hunting - Texas ReportBehind the Tom Cruise smile, designer sunglasses and polite demeanor a hunter's fire rages inside Mark Stolze. A hunter since he was a kid he just enjoyed the heck out of being in the field. But today he had been in serious pursuit of a trophy red deer.
A mature red deer stag, like the one Mark shot, makes an awesome wall mount. What with impressive antlers that sweep out and up that the species is known for. Red deer are a bit smaller than elk. About four feet at the should, they weigh in anywhere from 300 to 575 pounds. The one Mark took was a 435 pounder. Hunting exotic deer in Texas, such as the red, fallow, or sika deer can be enjoyed year around. Just keep in mind that September through January are best if you're going for an animal with a rack. Year round availability means few experiences can beat fallow deer hunting in Texas or exotic red deer hunting Texas style. If you doubt it, just ask Mr. Stolze.
