Monster Buck Secrets Ohio Deer Hunting
Outfitters Will Never Tell You

"Awesome," Robby Shalosky said to his hunting buddy Byron Shawen as they stood over their latest many pointed rack. "Who would have guessed that such a bruiser buck could exist so close to one of the most populated areas in Northeast Ohio?"

"The white tail baby boom also makes South-central Ohio another trophy whitetail hunts hot spot", Shawen reminded him.

Friends since grade school when their last names threw them together when seated alphabetically in Solon, Shalosky and Shawen knew monster buck hunting secrets no self respecting Ohio deer hunting outfitters would ever reveal. So if you're looking to take one that at least approaches minimum score for consideration by Boone and Crockett listen up.

Shalosky also shared…

"One of the keys to finding and shooting a trophy buck is to simply get away from competition. Far away. The idea is to find lightly hunted or not-hunted-at-all (even) locations. I can't emphasize that enough. At least not if you want to participate in more whitetail deer hunting trips worth bragging about."

Thinking it was his turn, Shawen added, "Think atypical. By that I mean hunt the state wildlife area managed for pheasants. Or ducks. Anything but deer. Like a lemming your typical weekend hunter heads where everyone heads when it comes to public lands. If you don't do that, your odds of sighting a true shooter buck might increase by plenty!"

"Don't be afraid to walk a bit," Shalosky chimed in. "The casual hunter doesn't venture more than a quarter of a mile from the road. Call it separation anxiety from their F250 or something. No wonder to them everyone and his brother is out hunting where he is. But once you get past a half mile in you'll probably not see any blaze orange on other hunter."

"Think weekdays not weekends. Since again the competition will likely be next to none. Meaning the odds off success of a Tuesday hunter far exceed those of the one out on Saturday," Shawen shared .

It's less and less of a secret that the Midwest is an emerging big buck hot spot. If you want to get in on more and better trophy whitetail hunts do what Ohio deer hunting outfitters will never tell you. Tricks like these will all but insure you will come out ahead.
