It's never good to 'hope' about camouflage. Turkeys have keen eye sight. And can detect the least bit of motion. Still if you're halfway decent at calling, you should still get your bird. 3 Things to Know About Turkey Calling Sounds Most hunters use some sort of turkey calls either when scouting or hunting. So it would be helpful to master a call or two yourself that no self respecting tom can ignore. Now the first pointer is don't' wait until the last minute to master that call or two. Or to try to refresh your calling skills either. Start practicing at least a month before turkey hunting starts. For beginners, box calls seem about the easiest to learn and use in the field. Finally don't talk turkey or use turkey sounds to alert a nearby hunter of your presence. Not a good idea.
